How CarCom Monitors
CarCom is connected to your vehicle's alarm, and automatically alerts the CarCom Assistance Centre to begin monitoring when your vehicle's alarm is activated. If an alarm is triggered, the CarCom unit sends a message to the CarCom Assistance Centre where an Operator will follow the appropriate course of action based on the type of alert received. The CarCom Assistance Centre operates on a 24 hour a day, 365 day per year basis.

Tracking
CarCom continuously monitors your vehicle's alarm, however tracking of your vehicle will only occur when an alarm is activated or assistance is requested. Tracking is initiated by the Operator at the CarCom Assistance Centre. The location of your vehicle is only disclosed to relevant authorised agencies e.g. the Police in the event that your vehicle has been stolen or you require emergency assistance.
