CarCom also uses the Global System for Mobile communication to facilitate services. GSM allows you to speak to a CarCom Operator when requiring Emergency or Roadside Assistance and also transmits your vehicle's location data. CarCom in this sense operates like a normal mobile phone, except that rather than you having to dial a number, the system automatically connects you to the CarCom Assistance Centre with one press of a button. |
